The tubes are in and she's just fine :)
After I blogged that last post, she decided she wasn't ready for bed. I went in and got her and just snuggled on the couch and let her watch Yo Gabba Gabba. She was very tired, but not ready to give up. She finally went to bed at almost 10:00pm.
We were really worried about her being ok until they were done with the procedure (since she couldn't have anything to eat or drink before hand) so Josh went in her room around 11:40 and tired to give her a bottle. She took a few swigs of it and wanted nothing more to do with it. I went to bed worried about the midnight to about 7:45 time. Josh went to bed worried about the 7:45-8:00am time!
We left home at 5:30am...we had to stop for gas and then be up there by 6:30. There was WAY more traffic out at 5:30am than I though there would be. {Do that many people really work THAT early? Jeex} We got up there and got all checked in. She of course was awake, she woke up when I scooped her up out of her crib, and stayed awake the entire ride up there. While we were waiting to be called back she just played. She kept trying to get in her bag and ask for "Juzzzz" (Juice) She'd look at me like "mom, I'm not stupid, I know there's some in that bag somewhere" poor thing.
They called us back there around 7:00, or so. About 7:20 they gave her an oral medicine that was supposed to relax her before they took her back, away from us...and boy did it. Imagine a drunk baby. That's what she was like. It was quite funny. We weren't very nice, we were cracking up at her. I had to hold her the whole time, she obviously wasn't stable to walk/crawl around. {Nor would I let her on that floor} The funniest moment was when the Dr came in to say it was almost time, and he walked back out; she wanted to tell him "bub bye" she puckered her lips together and started the "bbbb" sound.... but she wouldn't get it out. She was trying so hard; then it finally came out really slow. Josh and I started cracking up!
They took her from us at 7:45; she went ok, just a little wine and that was it. We walked to the waiting room, and in less than 15 minutes they came out and said she was done, and we could go wait in the room to talk to the dr. Less than 5 minutes later he came in and said she did great. She had A LOT of fluid and stuff in the right ear, but it should all drain out now. Then we had to go back in the waiting room and wait for her to wake up. About 5 minutes later they came and told us she was awake. We went back to see her, a nurse was holding her and she was crying. I took her, and she wanted nothing to do with nothing. Screaming, arching her back, her eyes were closed and she was out of it. Finally after baout 25 minutes she calmed down. We got her dressed and we were out of there by 8:40ish. She zonked out on the way home.
Lyvi came yesterday, Megan met us here with her when we got home. We tried to lay Zoe down for a nap, but she didn't want to sleep so her and Lvy played for a few hours, had lunch then they both took a good afternoon nap! Josh ended up taking a sick day, so it was nice to have him home for the day.

tubes.
Tomorrow's the day! TUBES.
I tried to keep her up later than normal...Bathed her and she's now falling alseep. (It's 9:00pm)
Let's hope she's ok until AFTER the procedure for her "num nums". {No food or drink after midnight}
Wish us luck!

This kid.
Is getting big. Her hair is growing like crazy! Look how long it's getting. Josh said she needs a haircut. I refused that idea. It's not shabby or anything yet. It's gotta get long and look crazy before it gets long and looks cute! It won't be long before it fits in a pony tail.
She's been a climber latley. She loves to get on top of stuff. She thinks it's ok to STAND UP in her rocking chair. No matter how many times we've yelled, smacked her butt, smacked her hands, sat her down or counted....she still stands up in it. She now has figured out how to stand up and rock in it. Nice Zoe.
She has a whole list of words she can now say!
Last weekend she started saying "Ppppaapaa" (Poppy) and "naaaanaaaa" (granny). Last week she started saying "Livla" (lyvia) She asks for her all the time.
She says Jackson, and "mmmnnnnn" (Minnie, or Manny).
She is in love with horses. We went down to Marietta a couple of weekends ago for the Sternwheel festival and they were giving carrage rides. We were standing outside waiting for a table at a restaurant, everytime the horse would go by she would try to launch out of my arms and "KiiiiiiiiiKiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii" and then she'd shreek and scream with excitement. I kept telling her "It's a Horse, Zoe, not a Kitty!" But she loved them!
We're going to take her horse back riding soon. Trail riding :)

Being put out.
Zoe gets her tubes (in her ears) on Tuesday, the 28th.
They'll put a mask on her and put her under. It'll only take him about 4 minutes to make the hole and slip them in. (one in each ear) We have to be there at 6:00am, the procedure will be at about 7:30am and we'll be out of there and on the way home by 8:30am!
The biggest thing I'm worried about...nothing to eat or drink after midnight :( That's gonna be rough.
I'm not worried about anything else, for the most part. I am worried about her before they put her under. She isn't a fan of many adult strangers. She's not going to want some random nurse take her from me and walk away....:( I don't want her being put under while she's screaming crying.
Add us to your prayer list!

Long lost friend!
You've 'heard' me talk about S&S photographics, right? Well I've become good friends with those girls. We have lots in common, and share a love of photography. The first time we talked (even before I met them) I knew we'd hit it off. When I met them for the first time I did feel like Sarah seemed fromilar, but I knew she lived close and I figured we just shopped at the same places and I had seen her or something.
Sarah hosted an event at a local store recently. An excuse to have wine, shop and chat. Mom went with me. I knew she'd love the store (even though she had already been there before). As soon as we arrived, Sarah and her mom were getting out of the car. As we were walking in her mom asked if she knew us from somewhere. Mom tried to throw out some ideas of where she may know us from...but nothing was clicking, so we let it go. About an hour later we were shopping {this store is an old house, turned into a store.} and we were all in one room. Sarah's mom says "Did Tash used to dance?" mom says "YESS..." WE DANCED TOGETHER. We were like 4!! Isn't that crazy. Now we live 5 minutes from each other and are good friends...and all this time we had never figured it out. Such a small world! We laughed and shared memories of me refusing to go on stage and dressing like Minnie Mouse!
Sarah is the one off my shoulder, standing on that bench. (I'm sitting on the floor) and Melissa is the girl standing beside me. (Her mom and Sarah's mom are still friends.) but I looked Melissa up on facebook and sent her a message. She still looks the same...it's crazy how much and how little we have changed!

E, N & T
Today was Zoe's Doctors appointment with the Ear, Nose, Throat doctor...(ENT).
Josh came home to hang with the (other) kids so I could take her. (He hates to take her to the doctor, for any reason) I have to say it was one of the best doctors office experiences I've ever had. We were in and out of there in NO time. Loved it. We got there, checked in. Sat down and waited to be called back. Zoe made friends with some older ladies in the waiting room and they called us back. We waited for a few minutes, and the doctor came in. We chatted about tubes, how it worked...why she needed them...you know all that 'business' stuff.
While I was listening to the Doctor, I was shaking my head. I would say "yea...ok" listening. I was holding Zoe...out of the corner of my eye I see her mocking me!! It was so funny. She would stop when I looked at her, then I'd talk to the Dr again and she would shake her head when I would. haha. So funny!!
His assistant is supposed to call me in the next day or two to schedule the appointment. I'm ready to get them in...no more ear infections. That is the goal!

Update!
I know I owe you an update.... if anyone still even reads this!
I 'lost' the cricut demonstrator job. boo. I got an email last Thursday that said that Provo Craft cut the demonstrations....budget cuts. Kinda bitter sweet. I liked doing it...and the money was nice....but it's nice to have my Sundays back. Even though it was only for a few weeks.
Zoe is getting closer to walking. She pushes her walking toys...and has finally let us let go and walk holding only one hand. And she is showing 'interest' in standing on her own. Won't be long.
We have been talking (a lot) about moving. We want to build a house so bad. But I just don't think it's going to happen right now. We can't sell our house for what we should be able to get out of it :( We could sell it...but we wouldn't make a lot on it. So we'll probably just stay here for a little while longer and suffer through it. Until we can move, we need to make some adjustments. The toys have taken over the living room. It's out of control. We feel like the house is always a mess. And it pretty much is. I've lost my motivation to keep things picked up, because it's just a mess 5 minutes later. I know, I know, that's what happens when you have kids...but it can be helped somewhat!! We need a 'toy' room. We've thrown around a few different ideas.
My favorite idea just isn't gonna happen right now. I would love to add on to the back of our house. Make a 'sun room' off of our living room and make our bedroom a little larger. When we make our bedroom a little larger, we could make our bathroom a little larger...which REALLY needs done. {Our master bathroom is TINY.} But the 'sun room' would function as the kids play room! Like I said though, that's just not going to happen right now because of finances!
The next option is to move my exhisting scrapbook room...to the basement. Our basement is currently Josh's man cave. But he NEVER goes down there. He doesn't want to give it up, but he's seriously gone down there like 5 times in 3 years. I don't want my scrap room down there for a few reasons. A. It's cold. B. I don't know how often I'd go down there because it's 'removed' from the rest of the house. It would be nice to have the space though. I could re organize and re design a bit!
The final option, was my moms idea...she votes we move our bedroom (which is a decent size) to the basement. (Our basement is already finished) Then we could make our exhisting bedroom the toy room (and my scrapbook room too) We wouldn't need to move my scrap room yet, until baby two were to come along. (Which No isn't anytime in the next 9 months) But at least we could move it when we needed to. I'm resistant to this idea because A. The basement is cold. B. I just don't know how I feel about it. I can't decide. C. I can't really decorate down there because the carpet is BLACK. Josh's basement. His choice. It could be replaced eventually...but to keep costs down that would have to wait! But our bedroom now isn't decorated, so who am I joking! ha :)
We need to decide though. And get moving on whatever the decision is.

Water Fountains
We've had a final heat wave here. The last few days its been HOT. Its been like 92 degrees.
Yesterday, I lucked out and had an ENTIRE DAY of just Zoe and I! We loved it.
We woke up and hung out. After Zoe's morning nap we ran a few errands, came back for lunch and then played some more. Then she took a 3 hour afternoon nap. Which was quite awesome, I might add! Mom came up about 4:30 and we headed to Easton. I needed to run in Archivers and I wanted to let Zoe plaly in the water fountains since it was so hot!

She lasted a little while and then she got cold. She didn't want to 'sit out'. She wanted to go back in the fountains and walk! After the fountains we headed to Archivers. I didn't find what I was looking for so we got ready to eat. After some driving around and some troubled decision making, we met dad for some California Pizza Kitchen. Mom and I went in to get a table and dad took Zoe in to "look" at the bears at Build a bear. 15 minutes later he joined us at the table...with a new stuffed dog! She loved it. Dinner was yummy. I love that place. Zoe did too. I was feeding her bread. You would have thought the girl hadn't ate in days. She would snatch it off the table so quickly, and shove it in her mouth! It was so funny. I had to start giving her one at a time because she was putting to many in her mouth.
It was a great day!
