It all can Change...

Today on my way home from work, Josh called and told me someone's home in our development was on fire...

This is what was left when I got home!





The man who owns the home was on his front porch reading the paper, when garage caught fire it is said that he ran back in to get his dog. He is ok, he was taken to the hospital before I got there. His son is a fire fighter who came on the run. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers tonight.

Lightening and Not-so-smart drivers!

If you live in ohio..you probably saw and heard the storm last night!
I woke up at 3:00 AM to my dog staring me in the face...
First, you should know this about my dog, I have been a nice mama and let him get up in the middle of the night to potty and get a drink. So, when I woke up this AM I knew I had JUST let him out...and it wasn't within his time frame to get up. Then I saw the lightening. My Dog hasn't ever cared or given notice to a storm ...but he did last night! I let him outside and he just watched the lightening.
We went back to bed and it started thundering...there were several cracks of lightening that were real close to our house! I've seen tons of storms and last nights was crazy..the lightening was NON stop! One of the girls at work said it was like a strobe light..and it was!

Then this morning, on my way to work, I'm going up the on ramp to the free-way, behind this...person! SHE STOPS ON THE ON RAMP. Granted there were other cars coming that she needed to merge with...BUT YOU DON'T STOP ON THE ON RAMP! Who does that...Serious. grrr! I was mad, can you tell?

Ok so here it goes... Six random things..

1- I love Pepsi! I blame my papaw for that, it's all he drinks..for as long as I can remember he has carried a cup with him with a cup of pepsi and ice. Now I love it! I tease Josh that I want it on tap at home (Like a fountain drink at a restaurant...) only I'm not teasing..I'm serious!

2- The previous thing lead me to this one...I can't drink a drink out of a bottle or can, it has to be in a cup...with ICE. and it has to be the right amount of ice, I'm very weird about there not being enough ice in my cup.

3-I HATE to empty the dishwasher...lucky for me, I married a man who does it for me! I will load it any day of the week...but I will not unload it!
In fact, my sink is full of dishes right now, because Josh isn't home this weekend to empty the dishwasher so I can reload it!

4-I dislike it when someone (cough cough..my mom) starts a sentence...but doesn't finish it!!! (Although I've picked up this bad habit myself)

5- I wish I could have lots of babies like Jon and Kate Gosselin

6- My Dog can give High Fives :) I taught him!

Dogeared

I was reading Leslie's blog the other day..and I looked over on her list of favorite websites and saw dogeared.

Zoo & Zoombezi Bay!

Yesterday was an exciting day of Water rides, Animals and Rain!
Larry's (Josh's Dad) annunal company gathering was at Zoombezi bay/The Zoo. We got there about noon. As soon as we got in the gates it started Raining. It poored for a split second, then just let down an annoying mist for about 45 minutes.
After that we walked around for a little while and then headed to the pavillion for lunch.
After lunch we walked over to Zoombezi Bay for some fun in the water and sun!
We set up all our stuff and headed for the water slides. I got to ride the slide I had been waiting to ride all summer...it was great..with the exception of water up my nose at the end of it. You have to go down it head first, which I didn't know so I almost chickened out..but Josh wouldn't let me, and I am glad I went because it wasn't bad!
We got rained on again at like 5:00 but all together the day was a great day!
I don't have very many photos because I spent the whole time keeping the camera hidden from the rain, and from people so it wouldn't get taken while we were on a ride!
I want to go back again soon!

What is in this?

So our new addiction here at work is McDonald's Sweet Tea... It's the best thing a $1.00 can buy right now :)
A friend recently said, "I swear that stuff has crack in it" and I agree...it has something. It's so yummy.
When we're all here at work, we know if you make a McDonalds run you will be bringing back 4 or 5 of them. (For everyone in the office)
Josh is addicted to it too. Yummy!

Red White and Boom!

I've always enjoyed going to Red White an Boom, the crowd the food, the music and the fireworks are all fun to me...Josh on the other hand hates dealing with the crowd so he wasn't as excited to go. His work ended up giving out parking passes for their parking lot which is right next to Long St. I had to work until 6:00 so we were nervous that there wasn't going to be much parking left by the time we got down there...Scott was already down there and saved us a spot! There were still plenty of spaces when we got there at 7:15.
The best part was we had an awsome view and then after it was all over we jumped on 315 and were home..with no waiting in the traffic :)
Whitney (a friend from work) and her fiance went along with us...and some of their friends met us as well.
After it quit raining at about 8:00pm it was a great night! It cooled off and actually got a little chilli...
The fire works were great and so was the music.
We will be using the parking passes again next year! :)
