My Daughter...

is a booger.
She won't crawl.
I know they all do things at different ages...
but she just wants to roll.  I put her on her belly and try to get her to go for something in front of her...and she just rolls over.  Then she'll roll back to her belly...look and then back to her back.  booger!

Zoe Update!

After our trip to the hospital, later that day I noticed a dark purple spot on the tip of her tongue. So she definitely bit her tongue. Which tells us she did have a febrile seizure. The Dr.'s still sound skeptical because she "wasn't lethargic" afterwards...but we think she did.


Her fever stuck around until Thursday night and POOF it was gone as quickly as it came. Then Friday morning she had a rash. Nice. She already had a Dr appointment so I figured we'd find out what it was. Once we talked to the Doctor she knew exactly what it was....textbook Roseola! They have a fever of 101 or higher for a few days straight, with no other symptoms...and then it breaks and the next day they break out in a rash.

There's nothing else to do except wait for the rash to disappear. It'll stick around for 7-10 days. But it doesn't bother her so we aren't giving her anything.

We were happy to finally know what it was...and happy that the fever is gone.

Now, she's teething. Big time. She's been very sleepy and fussy. And chewing like crazy.

1:40 AM

I typed this to Cindy this morning, so I just copy & pasted it!  Sorry if that has 100 typo's...she's on my lap so I typed this one handed, and I don't have the energy to fix it haha.


Zoe started with a fever on Monday evening...gave her tylenol and thought she had an ear infection. Called dr tuesday morning, took her and no ear infection but she thought she had an upper respitory infection. didn't give her any meds just sent us home. Still has had a fever. This morning at 1:40 am she woke up SCREAMING. She was hot and wouldnt eat...gave her some tylenol and 5 mins later she vomitted everywhere. But the weird thing was, the whole time she was like twitching...not like a seziure tho. It was almost like a muscle spasm thru her whole body, so it was quick..then she'd look at me and scream...and a sec later do it again :(


I called her dr and they said to take her in to Children's just incase. My biggest fear was that she had a febrile seziure before I got in there. The Dr's there didnt think so, bc she didn't act like babies usually do after they have one.

At Children's we did a catheder to test her urine for a UTI...no luck there. So we came home at 7:00am with no answers :(

I've noticed since we've come home shers spiratically still having the spasms....so I'm counting them and doing some research. We have to go back to the dr in 2 days especially if her fever doesn't go away. so we'll seeee...... :( Stressful.

I'm glad nothing major seems to be wrong, but wish I knew what was wrong.

She's fussy now... still has her fever but I think she's tired so it's hard to tell whats abornal and whats just her being tired.

Conversation with a two year old

Me: oh Jackson, you're out of juice...let me get you some more!
I head for fridge and remember his dad brought him another cup with chocolat milk in it, and it was in the fridge.
Me: Oh! You have one in the fridge.
Jackson: (without even seeing the cup yet) no! That's chocolate milk.
Me: ok, do you want it?
Jackson: no! That's chocolate milk.
Me: lol, and you don't want it? You want me to refill your juice?
Jackson: yes. Here.
Haha I guess you just had to be there, but it was funny!
First time I've ever seen a two year old turn down chocolate milk!

Harlem Globetrotters

For our birthdays, Devon & Megan bought us tickets to go see the Harlem Globetrotters.  (Last Tuesday night)
It was great!  It was fun to watch them goof around and interact with the audience.

She loved it!  She clapped for the first time at the beginning of the game.  It was great :)

Evan Turner...He did the jump ball.  Which turned out to be a ball that floated up into the air :)

Someone was missing.......

Because she was out like a light.

Pull up a chair...

and stay awhile...because I have lots of updates.  This could be long. 

I finished statistics...with a C+.  I was hoping for a C at the beginning, but towards the end was hoping for a B...I didn't quite make it there, but that's ok. I'm fine with the C.  If I wouldn't have bombed the second test I would have done way better, but oh well.

I have 3 more weeks of this ECON class and then I have a break for a few weeks...can't wait for that!!

Josh is getting braces!  We've been talking for years about getting them for him, and he's finally ready.  He went yesterday for his consultation and they put his spacers in...he goes on Monday to get the top ones.  Then 3-4 months down the road they'll put the bottom ones in.  He's excited.  I am too.  I think it'll make him look like a whole different person. 

Zoe is growing and changing. 
She now has two teeth on the bottom.  She's eating more table food.  We give her little bites of our breads and stuff like that.  She also has been eating the puffs. 
She won't crawl yet :(  She lays on her belly and wiggles around...and moves...but no crawling or army crawling yet.  She wants to get up and move so bad though, she watches "the big kids" play and wants to stand up and play with them so bad!
Her looks are changing again.  I looked over at her from accross the room the other day and realized she's starting to look more like me and not all daddy!

We've been super busy.  (Hense the reason for no blogging) but I promise to be a better blogger.  I have Easter photos to post...and lots of other random ones!

Tomorrow is Megan's first bridal shower.  I will have photos from that also!  They only have 8 weeks until the wedding.  Holy Moly!  I am finishing up their invites next week and getting them in the mail on April 26th.  They're turning out super cute.  Josh picked up the paper for me today...I already have the envelopes, inside tissue, stamps and the ribbon.  We have to print them next week and then assemble...which won't take long!

I joined a gym  (can't remember if I already blogged about that)  there's a local gym that is very affordable and has great hours so I've been going for 2 weeks.  I try to make it there 3-4 times a week.  It's hard to work the time in sometimes, but it feels so good to do it when I go!

So I only have six classes left and I will be a college graduate.
I could finish in two trimesters...but I've decided to do it in 3.
The classes I have left are going to require a lot of attention from me and I don't want to stress myself out to much...or take up any more time away from my family.

These last few weeks I've been feeling the 'pain' of school because since I have 3 classes all at once.  It's been years since I've had them like that.  (When I was a student at OU) Plus having 3 at once, at Franklin...is way different than having 3 at once at OU because of the way Franklin does the balanced learning program.  I think some a lot of it that's making this more rough than normal is the fact that this statistics class has been 15 weeks LONG.  So LONG.  Tonight is my last class... I just have to present my project and I'm out of there. 
I think I'm going to bed early to celebrate!

Four Little Monkeys!

I thought I would introduce you to the 4 little kiddos. Well technically 3, because you already know Miss Zoe.

Miss Alyvia…also known to me as Lyvi or Lyv Lyv. (to her mommy & daddy as Bug) She is my brother’s daughter for those of you who didn’t know she was my niece.  I've been watching her a little over a month.  She's here 4 full days a week and half a day on Friday.

She will be 14 months old on the 17th. She is working on walking. She could do it if she wasn’t so stubborn. She will stand up and let go of something then realize she’s doing it…and grab back onto something! She is a tiny little thing. She weighs 17.8 and is just starting to fit into 12 month clothes. She says (of course) “Mama” and “dada”, but also “dogdog” (which sounds a lot like dada….but is slower and more clear)She says “Tasha” but not very often. My favorite is “zzzzzuuusss” also known as shoes. Love that one. She will be saying Zoe before we know it! She craws up to Zoe and says “zzzzzz.” She loves to dance and loves food. You ask her “Lyvi, are you hungry?” And you’ll get “num num num.” If you go open the fridge or pantry she’ll say “num num num” hehe.

Aubree Ann. She is 5 months old! She probably weighs about 15lbs now. She has a ton of hair! It’s so long and we’ll be able to put it in little pony tails before long.  :)  She is here 5 days a week for now...which will probably change to 3-4 days a week soon.   I am good friends with her mommy and we went to high school together. She started saying “dada” just a few days before Zoe did. And she loves to lay on her back or sit and jibber jabber. She’ll just talk away. I love listening to her. She reaches and grabs toys. The bumbo is not her favorite place to sit, she arches and wiggles and tries to get out of it. She does not like me to rock her to sleep…she would rather be in the swing or in Zoe’s green rocking chair, with her binky and her blankie. Speaking of blankie…the girl loves to have her face covered. I will lay it on one side of her face for her to go to sleep and before I know it she has it all the way over her head, I move it off one side…and she wiggles back under it. Little booger.  She is a good napper.  In the afternoons she's been taking like 2.5 hour naps!

 

 

 

Mr Jackson! The only boy. He helps me keep these girls in check haha. I will have to ‘dig out’ a photo of him. I know one on my external hard drive. Will update with it soon!   He turned two in November. I have been watching him since October. I have LOVED watching him grow and change. His vocabulary has developed so much. He said Zoe before he would say Tasha. Now he says all of our names. And he’s speaking small sentences. One day at lunch he said “Manny, go lay down” (He obviously has heard me say that 100 times!) And last week Josh taught him to say “Come get you some” nice. Haha. He is learning to share the toys. The first week everything was “Jackson’s toy” “Jackson’s book” …but he’s been better.

Of course you know Miss Zoe. I will update on her soon! She’s growing so much.

And those are the 4 kiddos that fill my days with smiles, giggles, spit up, bottles, spoons, chicken nuggets, diapers, wipes and shoes! I wouldn’t have it any other way!
