The tale of pain...

Let me preface this by saying I can usually stand pain. I don't have the highest tolerance for it...but I can deal.

Tuesday at work, while walking back into the office from using the restroom I had this weird, awkward pain in my lower left side...I sat down, it stopped and I wrote it off.

1:33 AM rolled around and I was awoken with this sharp pain again. I walked to the living room to let Manny out, and then crawled back and bed, and woke Josh to let him back in. The idea of getting back up was too much. I kept trying to figure out what the pain was, and my first thought was appendix...but I can't ever remember what side it's on. Josh said right, so it couldn't be that. I gave it until 2:15 when I called and woke my parents. (I never like to do this, but getting my dads advice is always better than going to an ER or doctor.)

We went through everything; Kidney stones, baby with her foot or head wedged into the side of me, ligament pain..... but whatever it was it wasn't going away. Finally at 2:30 we decided it was best to go to the hospital to make sure everything with baby was ok.
After arriving at Riverside and going to the ER and waiting in the waiting room for 10 minutes for a triage nurse to come to the counter, she told us to go up to Labor & delivery.
They had me pee in a cup (which I am now a pro at by the way) and hooked me up to the monitors to see if I was contracting and check baby's heart rate. All normal. No contractions.
The on call doctor came in and we went through the list of things again...

They found a small amount of blood in my urine so they were concerned with that, thinking maybe a UTI or Kidney Stones. They sent me home with a Prescription for UTI and I already had a scheduled check up for Wednesday morning with my OB. Wednesday morning came and I still couldn't stand.
My OB had me pee in a cup (which I'm a pro at by the way) said everything with baby still looked good and the pain I was describing really sounded like Kidney Stones...she sent me home (and recommend I not go to work as I was planning to try to do) 2 percrips for pills and one for an ultrasound on my kidney.

Yesterday I spend the afternoon in bed, then on the couch, mostly sleeping and once getting sick from the pain. I am not one to take meds unless I really need them, so I gave in and took the anti-nausea meds and it knocked me out for the night.
This morning I woke and prepared myself for the amount of water they were making me drink for the ultrasound. (oh and I couldn't eat until after my appointment...which was at 1:30) I went to the appointment and we had a very nice technician who looked around down there more than she was supposed to, but it gave us assurance that nothing was "abnormal" .
Bladder--fine
Kidney's (both) --Fine no stones found
Ovaries--fine (both normal size, no inflammation, no cysts)
and we even got a peek at baby B.....Yawning for us...or screaming for food! ha!
Oh! And the OB's office called with the results from my peeing in a cup (which I'm a pro at now) and I have no bacteria which means no UTI.
We discussed (with every doctor and nurse the past 3 days) ligament pain...and it's looking like that's what it is.....but OMG is it painful and it's wore out it's welcome.

And I do want to say Thank you to my husband who woke with me at 1:30 am, and has waited on me hand, sat by me when I got sick and foot and felt so bad when I'm in tears and there's nothing he can do about it.

We've been very busy lately...getting things done around the house and enjoying the (finally) nice weather.


I thought I needed to blog a little, with some updates and some photos :)

Last week Josh and his friend, along with his friends dad traveled up to Cleveland Cav's game. Josh is a Lakers fan, but he couldn't pass up the chance to see LeBron play. So they went up after work, spent the night in a hotel that was right across the street and then came back on Wednesday afternoon.

Our Property Manager was gone all last week for meetings, so yesterday when she returned she took us all bowling for lunch, and we ate pizza there! :)

We made it to Ikea last Saturday and purchased the dresser and some other things for baby B's room. Josh and I stayed up Saturday night and put it together. It looks great! I'm working on photos...be patient :) I want to take them when it's day light out...by the time I get home from work and have a chance to get in there, it's dark. I need time to hang the wall decor before taking the the photos. Maybe tonight will be a good chance to work on it, while Josh's at softball.

Our house needs landscaping help! We went to Lowe's this weekend and bought some stuff to hopefully kill (some) of the dandy lions in our front yard...and we got mulch. I am also working on plans for replacing the bushes in the front...they're so ugly right now.

I've been sewing things for baby! I've been making burp cloths, and towels. The one towel I have done is awesome. (I'll be sure to take a photo of that too!) I've also made a few things for Leslie, whom is expecting 3 weeks before I am!

I was behind a guy on the freeway the other day and he had the most awesome bumper sticker...it said "Save the TaTa's" With a pink breast cancer ribbon! I think it's awesome that the male population is supportive to this cause. It maybe considered tacky to some...but I love it.

Oh.....

And Happy Vday to us :)
Today is Vday, the viability day, when baby would have a chance at surviving if she chose to come out early....but she better not even think about it!

Open Windows

Today it's going to be 80 degrees here in the buckeye state. We haven't seen that forever! It's about time. I love, love the days I can open windows and have a breeze come through the house. Except this weekend I won't get to do that much. I'm at work all day today then running some places with mom tonight.
Tomorrow is IKEA DAY! Finally! I've been waiting like 4 weeks. I have my list ready. I just need to do some last minute measurements of things in the house before we go. Hopefully when we get home Saturday night we'll have the energy to put the dresser together then I can take some photos to share of the baby's room. If not it will probably be Sunday or Monday evening since I work all day Sunday.

In other updates. Baby B is actively pursuing her daddy's dream of her being a golfer, she's practicing her golf swing daily. :) Today is 24 weeks. Yahoo...the weeks continue to fly by. Here we are at the end of April and getting ready for May. I'm bracing myself because this summer will be so busy for us starting in May.

I've been reading a lot lately. I finished Something Borrowed last week, and now I'm reading Something Blue...hoping to finish that by Wednesday! Then I haven't decided what's after that. I need to read Baby Proof and Love the one you're with also. And I have a few others...then I've been talked into reading the Twlight series.

Just a little growth chart!

Ok I've tried 4 times now to upload this photo...and it keeps doing this ^^^ do the color. Anyone know why? I thought it was because the file was too big...but I've resized it like 3 times.

I used photoshop and used CMYK colors...could that be why? I'll have to try with RGB! Any suggestions..... let me know!!

23w4d

Today is 23 weeks and 4 days...

here are a few photos Josh took last night.

Side note: he's the worst picture taker ever!! He took 20 photos and there's like 2 acceptable ones! (note I said acceptable, not good!)

I gave him a hard time about it and he said well then have someone else take some of you...and I said I do Nataleigh takes them every week and I'm paying to have them done in June! (Can't wait for that by the way)

I think I was talking in that one. And please ignore my fat arms.

At this point everything is still going very smoothly. I keep hoping and praying it continues this smooth. I have more and more people notice in public. Last night while picking up dinner I had another expectant mom ask me when I was due :) She was having a boy (glad to hear there's still baby boys being made out there because I've heard of tons of girls)

I also had someone tell me I was going to be huge by August, because I was already big. Nice.

Her room will be almost all the way completed after this weekend. So photos will be coming soon :)

Whitney's Shower

14 months ago when I started working at MV Whitney would talk about the wedding being 400 some days away and how it was going to take forever, that time would never pass, and I kept telling her it would fly by and it would be here before she knew it. Well Saturday was her shower...and she's now 6 weeks away from her big day! When you spend 8+ hours a day next to someone you kind of become their wedding planner ha! Seriously though it's been so fun hearing all of her plans, letting her bounce ideas off me, and allowing me to help in little ways.
I can't wait to see it all come together! I'm sure it will be amazing.

Josh's softball has begun. It will be a spring/summer full of softball games! Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights will be filled with them.

Megan is on one of the teams he's on...so I will be going along to watch Alyvia. Last night they had a little practice so I went to hang with little Lyvi. (And watch I guess hehe)

She was laughing at me making monkey noises...She loved it. Everytime I'd get more into it she'd smile bigger and make more and more noises.

So my boss told me she saw the new Hannah Montana movie this weekend and there was a dance on there that I needed to look up. I did. And I'm sure I'll have to learn it now. :)

Easter :)

Another good weekend under our belts. Gotta love them.

Sunday we had Easter dinner with Josh's family at Olive Garden. It was yummy. His dad got us the cutest Easter gift....I will post a photo later. I forgot to take one this morning.

Then we headed to my mom and dads, My dad and brother had to work at the fire houses yesterday so we went to keep mom company. Megan and little miss A came back a little before we left. I had the pleasure of holding her while she filled her pants with stinkiness...(Alyvia ...NOT megan! hehe) I did some sewing while at moms too....my projects are coming along and turning out pretty darn cute.

Tonight I plan to work on the walls in Baby's room. (Decorations I mean) I picked up a few things this weekend...it's coming along in there. I can't wait to make the trip to Ikea to get the big stuff we have left to buy.

Josh made it home last night. Finally.
He was very releived to get back home! I think he was more excited to have chipotle for dinner than to see me hehe:) j/k!

Today we both slept in (well me until 9:30. him....the clock is still going) Then we're just doing lots of homework and stuff around the house. Tonight we're going to the movies with Nataleigh and Dave.

Slacker that I am

I've been called slacky because I've not posted since Monday. I've been super busy at work (and that's usually when I blog hehe)
Some randomness from our life....

1-Josh comes back tomorrow..I can't wait. It's so weird not having him in the house. He wants a home cooked meal tomorrow night since he's ate pretty much the same thing for 6 days. I'm thinking Tacos. We'll see what he says.

2-When we move we will not ever live where there's a pain in the butt homeowners association. We pay $80 a year for a newsletter. Oh yes and a few flowers up front at the entrance. Great. Oh we also pay for them to tell me where I can and can't store my trash can. (Which I've got warned about) because we had it back against the back of our house by our fence, where you can not see it from the street. Apparently someone on the board thinks I need to keep the stinky thing in my garage while it's ok for my neighbor to store her real christmas tree (from 4 months ago along side her house as it is dead and looks like crap)

3-Blue Jackets are in the playoffs. I do not follow Hockey a lot. But I like it.

4-I'm having a plantar wart frozen off my foot today that has caused me pain for going on 6 months now...wish me luck.

5-I've told you before about This site...and I still think it's amazing. If you are going to buy ANYTHING online...check here first. I LOVE IT. And if you sign up....put my email address in as a referral. You get like 5 extra bucks.

6-We had some GREAT family drama yesterday....but I'll save that for another post.

I am 23 today. Wow i'm getting old. haha. I can't believe how time flies. Josh and were talking about the year we met the other night...and how it's been 6 years ago. jeex.

We had an awesome weekend. Friday night we hung out and got stuff done around the house. Saturday he went golfing early in the morning with his dad and brother and guy from work. When we got back we got ready and went out for a little shopping. (Of course we bought the little banana something! We now have devoted that every time we get the urge to buy clothes we are going to buy a box of diapers or wipes. We need to stock up on those instead of clothing.) We then headed to Genji for the most amazing dinner I think we've had in a long time. (Josh made me promise I wouldn't tell them it was his birthday...so I was a good girl. Although it was the birthday of guy at our table with us and you should have seen Josh's face when they came out with the drum and the singing! He totally thought it was for him...priceless)

Sunday we both did lots of homework and some "honey-do" asks around the house that I wanted done before he left. I knew I wouldn't be able to stand staring at them for a week. In the afternoon we met mom, dad, Dev, Meg & Alyvia for our birthday dinner at Ted's Montana grill downtown. It was yummy!! (Thank you mom and dad for dinner and the presents)

I will have to take a photo of my birthday present hehe. Love it!

After dinner it was time to take Josh to the airport. We arrived way early so we sat and people watched for like an hour. It was great. Josh said we weren't getting up until we saw a person with a fanny pack....yea we saw 3!! score :)

And now today it's snowing on my Birthday. YUCK. I was hoping for a bright and sunny one. But oh well.

In baby news....she's moving. I can feel the strong kicks and moovements, but not every little one yet. My doctor informed me that I have a front Plecenta, which provides more padding up front so that is why it's taking longer for me to feel her. Interesting, and very good to know. But she has decided to now get as low as she can, and stay down there for long periods of time.

The room is coming along. We are making a trip to Ikea on the 25th for some more goodies for her room. I have a list! The only other major piece of furniture we need is the dresser. I have starting planning (in my head) the wall decor. We have several ideas, We're now just figuring out what we have space for and what are the best ideas.
