Answers...

God has answered some prayers for our family recently.

Yesterday, my mom, Logann & Abbie were in a car answered. An 18 year old boy came around a curve (while mom was driving with the girls to school) and he came left of center...hit her head on, then continued down the side of her car while pushing her over. Everyone walked away unharmed! Logann hit her head on the window, and her elbow on something, but didn't get hurt. There was an angel in the car with them.

Also yesterday, while having lunch with a friend I got a phone call from my neighbor. He knew that I was going to be staying home and looking for a toddler to watch. Their babysitter decided to work outside of the home and gave them a weeks notice. They came over last night to talk about everything...and he will be starting here on Tuesday! :) He is a good little boy, and we (both families) are very excited...especially because they're right next door!

Josh is also supposed to be getting more details about his new job tonight, and then given a formal written offer by the middle of next week. I'm praying that he continues to answer that prayer and that it all works out. Josh is really excited about it!

It's Monday already?

The weekend came and went :)
Saturday was Scrap Pink! There was a group of 7 of us and we scrapbooked all day...I didn't get as much as I wanted done, but I didn't do too bad. Josh had Zoe all day. He brought her up to visit us around lunch time then he had lunch with his family. He had a good day with her, until it came the 8-10 cranky hours :( He doesn't do well with those hours...but he made it through. He was ready to jump for joy when I walked through the door! He said I'm not allowed to go away for the entire day anymore. haha. He just needs more practice!

Yesterday we hung out here and I got some cleaning and laundry done. Then we headed to my grandma 'Nita's for my Uncles retirement party.
My uncle took these photos, that I love :)

Look into those eyes...she has a story to tell you!

Happy Girl...she's always smiling!

Break is over

My Break is over...and my next classes have begun :(
I am now to "the hard classes"...the classes I have put off my entire college career...and now I have to take them all one after another. (Yes, that was dumb of me!)
First up is Accounting. Yuck...yuck...yuck.
I have an assignment due tonight...and my first class is Wednesday night.
So the next 12 Wednesdays (minus the one I skip in October for pumpkin show) I'll be sitting in a class room for 3 hours and 40 minutes (while screaming inside) learning account. yuck.

If you've taken accounting (and I know you have) you better watch out...your phone will probably be ringing!

I also have two other classes this trimester. Let's hope these 9 course go fast so I can never open a text book again. Or for a little while anyway :)

I know you're waiting....

for baby updates :)

She will be 6 weeks old on Thursday. I feel like she's so much older than that.

She is a strong little one. She rolls herself from her back to her side and back to her back, with no problem. But she doesn't have the from belly to back thing down yet. I put her on her belly a few minutes each day. Sometimes she likes it, sometimes she gets mad.

She's loosing some hair :( On the top front...she has a receding hair line. It's creeping back further and further. We have a talk every night about making it stop. And it doesn't seem to listen.

She LOVES her rocker--(mama pats herself on back for a good choice) that my parents bought for her. It vibrates and plays music. I sit it on the kitchen table while I'm making dinner or doing stuff...and she plays or falls asleep.

She likes her swing...and has realized the owls are hanging above her head and has started staring at them more instead of the ceiling fan, which brings me to my next point.

Her best friend is the ceiling fan. When it's off. She will look at it and smile. We talk to it too.

When she's on her changing table she's found the pom poms above her bed, and she coo's at them and kicks her feet. She's also discovered the ABC cards hanging beside her.

She is smiling more and more. It's still kind of random but if I get really excited and ask her questions she will give me a big grin.

Her sleeping still varies. Lately she's been falling asleep around 10 or 10:30 and sleeping to 3 or 5. Which is nice for mama. Then after that it's every 2 hours. During the day she eats every 2 hours on the dot. Unless I give her a (pumped) bottle and put cereal in it...then it lasts a little longer!

Her reflux is MUCH better, thanks to the meds. We started them on Friday, and she gets it in her bottle twice a day. (mama knocks on wood) I haven't been projectile vomited on since Thursday! She still gets fussy during feeding sometimes, but it's her way of letting us know she has a bubble to be burped out.

She's growing like a weed. I imagine we're getting close to 9 pounds. Last Wednesday at the doctor she was 8lbs 8oz. Her newborn pampers diapers don't fit anymore, but the huggies ones do. We're still using those till they're gone because the 1's are huge on her. Her newborn sleepers and carters pants don't fit anymore. :(

And daddy will have her alone for an entire day this Saturday, while mama scrapbooks :) Go Daddy! He has a freezer full of milk and me on speed dial!

Weekend Fun

This weekend we had some fun things planned :)
Saturday morning we went to a festival that Megan and Devon enter Alyvia in. She won second!
In her wagon that poppi made her! She loved sitting it in.

We took this tonight, but the patterns are a little crazy! We're going to re-do it next time we get them together :)

After about 20 pictures I managed to get one nice one of the three of them. The 20 pictures was Dev's fault...:)

Thinks to self.

I took a little trip to walmart today. The walmart that is closest to our house is NOT my favorite..but it's the closest and if I just need a few things I just run in there.
So today I had to run in there and get a prescription and a few things.

While there I had a few interesting experiences.
First, while waiting for the pharmacist to get my prescription stuff together this lady (who was waiting beside me) decided to start telling me all kinds of stuff. Apparently she was there, for her niece whom just had a baby one week ago, to find medicine for the baby's hiccups. I said I didn't even know they made medicine for that. And she said that Zoe must not have the hiccups very often, I said no..I just don't give her medicine for it. (Thinks to self....It's a normal baby thing, seriously!)

I then did my shopping....while picking up some groceries an employee stopped beside us and started talking to Zoe. Ok fine. Then she kept talking. I started walking, because she then started getting too close to her for my comfort. (Thinks sto self...ok back off lady) she finally got the point and walked away. Then she comes back! And she touched her blanket and continued to talk to her, she lifted her blanket (I guess to see her outfit) (Thinks to self...ok seriously back off lady) I started walking again. Why do people think it's ok to get in a (strangers) newborns face, and to touch them! Get your dirty hands outta here!

Next, was something nice! I got Josh this water bottle like 3 weeks ago. And I fell in love with it. Well when I went back to get myself one...they were gone. All of them. I've checked 2 or 3 walmarts and they're all gone. Bummer. So day I was walking (I checked again for the water bottle) and I stopped, to look at one of those bins they have in the middle of the store, of pillows. And low and behold....AT THE BOTTOM OF THE BIN of pillows....my water bottle! HA! How crazy is that. You better believe I fished that baby outta there and bought it. Josh said the water bottle fairy put it there for me :) (Thinks to self: Thank you water bottle fairy)

Then another nice thing, I was walking out to the car and a guy was beside me, pushing his cart. He looks at me and says that his cart was noisy and he didn't want to wake the baby...(Thinks to self: that's really nice dude, but seriously your cart isn't going to wake her) So I'm loading groceries, and I finish and go to put her in the car. He was parked several cars over, he comes walking over and says...you get your baby, I'll get your cart! (Thinks to self: Thank you! Finally a nice person in the world!)

At least it ended on a good note :)

Finally Photos

I finally have photos to show you :)

The disc came on Tuesday, but I've had a busy week.

There are lots more...but they need photoshop :) Stay tuned!

What do you do?

We all have goofy or different things that we do...

I talk in my sleep...I can even hold a conversation with you and not remember anything! I talked to Josh (as I do frequently) the night before last and don't remember any of it! Oops!

Josh twists/knots and pulls his hair! It drives me nuts! It's a nervous habit that he has...some people bite their nails, he gives himself bald spots :)

Our dog Manny eats ice...I know lots of dogs do it, but he can hear the freezer open from anywhere in the house! And we both have the same favorite ice.

My cat Bailey, loves mac n cheese (well anything cheese or butter related) she eats noodle and all :)

We're still learning Zoe's! Right now she's learning to smile when we talk to her, it's still random, but she's doing it more frequently :)

And I'm still waiting on the mailman :)

I didn't forget....

About the pictures! You see, Josh picked up the disc from Ben...brought it home and there was nothing on it :( so Ben put one in the mail yesterday and hopefully it will be in the mailbox tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest :) I will post them as soon as I get it.

Family Weekend

We headed to Marietta yesterday for the Sternwheel Festival!
We have lots of family in Marietta so it was nice to see a few members that we don't get to visit with very often!

Awww Kisses from Poppi :)

Zoe snugglin with her poppi. It was cold when we first got there!

And last but NOT least...our little buckeye :)

Life at home

I'm officially in love with being a stay at home mommy. I'm enjoying every minute of it. Right now I don't have a lot going on... and I'm enjoying that.

At the end of this month I will start classes again...boo! Then I'll have homework to do during the day also. I also need to find a part time job, to start at the beginning of October.

Once that all starts it won't be so peaceful...but I will still enjoy being home with miss Zoe everyday!

She's already growing and changing. I know she's gained more weight...just don't know how much she weighs right now. She's still eating great! (still breastfeeding)

She has been throwing up. I'm trying a few different things to figure out what's going on. I think it's a combination of her eating so fast (she's a chugger) and her sinus'. I have to make her burp frequently (that has helped) and you can hear her sinus'...I've kept her nose sucked out, but you can hear her congestion. I'm going to get one of those wedges for her to sleep on, so she's not sleeping flat (moms recommendation) and hopefully that will help!

Her baby acne has begun :( It broke out at the end of last week. Poor thing. Hopefully it doesn't stick around very long.

Ben is coming over tomorrow night to do a photoshoot! yay! So excited for that. Hopefully she corporates with us and we get some good shots.

In mommy news...I am 100% back to myself (energy wise). My incision looks really good...two more weeks and I go for my check up. I filled my pain pill prescription when we left the hospital, just in case I had pain that I couldn't deal with..but I didn't use any of it! The only pills I took, were the two in the hospital, when I let the nurses talk me into it...but I could have made it without them!

I have 25 pounds to loose. Eeek! I am not allowed to exercise until after I go for my check up (two weeks) so after she gives me the thumbs up...We'll be burning the calories! Hopefully I loose it easily.

Well Miss Z is waking up to eat, so for now I leave you with this....

Family Reunion

We traveled to WV yesterday for Josh's family reunion.
His grandpa (his dads, dad) has cancer and isn't doing so well. We went to visit him last weekend, and he fell in love with Zoe. He's very weak and doesn't have strength in his arms, so he pretty much just lays her on his lap, but it's so sweet to see him hold her. I'm sure she's a breath of fresh air for him.

His brother's and sisters! There were originally 14 of them...there are 8 still alive today. Made me want a big family even more...Josh even less haha.

Jake, Jessi, Josh, Me, Great grandpa B, Zoe and Grandpa B!

4 Generations :)
I wasn't looking forward to the drive down there...I didn't mind going to the reunion, but didn't want to do the drive. It turned out to be not so bad. Josh's friend Seth went with us...so I got to sit in the back with Z all the way there and back :) And I slept on the way back. It was a good day!

Learning Daddy

Josh is catching on to all this daddy stuff.
The thing he's struggling with most is being patient when she gets wiggly or cries. I've been passing her to him and having him do more so he learns.

He's gotta practice for the nights that I'm not here...and he has to do it alone :) I know he can do it!

Last night he finished feeding her...then was snuggling with her, she got all squirmy and tired and started crying. He said "will you come help me with her" so he had me take her (which I shouldn't have) He doesn't get how I can get her to stop crying and get her all comfy. I explained that you just have to be patient, and learn her comfort spots.

He's home with us all day today... so he'll get lots more practice.

Saturday night he'll be alone with her...I'm not worried, I know he can do it. We just gotta build up his confidence about it!
