I made it home safe and sound...but not after another minor 'set back'. When after boarding the flight from Cincinnati to Salt Lake (a humid aircraft that is) sat...and sat...finally we got some information that the airplane was overweight. We didn't know how overweight we were for a bit..so we continued to sit. Finally the Capitan came on and told us that we were 5,000 pounds overweight. Nice. He said they were exploring their options and would keep us posted. Then we got an update that they were going to defuel and get rid of some fuel that we had on board in case we hit inclement weather (which was now not expected) so we sat while they defueled and finally began to take off 2 hours later. We were able to make up some of that time in the air so we landed a little over an hour late. I now fully understand the laws that they're working on right now. (About not allowing passengers to sit on a plane longer than 3 hours)
I landed and Andrea and David picked me up and we headed for some (late) dinner. Then we got me checked into the hotel and I crashed for othe night! It was up early the next morning for Day one of the show. Here are some photos of the booth and the beautiful mountains.
I couldn't get enough of the mountains. That last photo is from the airplane so it's kinda blue in color. Everywhere you looked you were surrounded by mountains. I guess the area we were in is considered the valley!
