Bumps and Bruises.

Poor Zoe has had a rough weekend.
She's started into that stage where there's a daily boo boo.

Saturday, I was cleaning my craft room, and she was 'helping' me.  She pulled one of my drawers out, and whacked herself right in the forehead with the corner of it!  I didn't realize how bad it was until I got her calmed down and saw the purple bruise!  Ouch!

Not even 20 minutes later, she pulled herself up on a box, it flipped over and she went over with it and she whacked her head on the stand holding the TV trays.  Not even an inch from the previous boo boo!  Ouch again.

Sunday, while I was working...Josh threw her in the air.  She came down and bent forward, and hit her head on his braces.  She has a scrape right on her forehead in her hair line :(  He felt really bad.
Then of course there's the daily falls.  And we have hardwood floors in the living room, ouch.

This morning she was in her rocking chair, and fell forward face first, out if it and wacked her face on the floor and a kitchen chair!

She's been trying to climb on everything so I'm sure there will be a lot more bruises!

Again with the Jobs.

A few months ago, someone posted (on a scrapbook message board I'm on) about a third party marketing company was hiring cricut demonstrators to work at Best Buy.  Part time.  For a short period of time.

So I emailed, talked and ended up getting hired.  I work Sunday for 5 hours (including set up and break down)  Not bad right?! :)
I started a two weeks ago.  Best buy was HARD.  Let me re-phrase....selling a cricut at best buy was HARD.  They have a special bundle, and at special price and just a few cartridges...but it was not the deomographic for selling the cricut.  I had more fun talking to the associates and just looking around the whole time.
After my first weekend I got a phone call from my manager and she said that the girl who had the Michaels close to my house got a new job and had to quit...so she asked if I wanted Michaels.  SURE!  I did Michaels (instead of Best Buy) for the first time last weeked.  It was ok.  A lot of people didn't want a demo because they already owned a circut....but I did sell one, and a cartridge! :)

I have Best Buy for two more weekends and then after that it'll just be Michaels like twice a month.

Zoe's First Birthday Party!

Last Saturday we had Zoe's First birthday party!  It turned out fabulous.  Everything I had planned came together wonderfully and looked great!
We did a photo table with all kinds of photos from Newborn to now.  We let people pick a few to take as a favor.
Her little cake.  I bought it.  I made all of the cupcakes...homemade icing and cupcakes!  I bought the zebra cake from a local bakery.  When I was planning her party I had to have this cake.  I ended up spending $40 on it...and NO ONE cut into it! Needless to say, I won't do that again.
I made these for the entrance :)Lots of Presents :) She loved everyone of them! This is the Dora Birthday doll that Josh's mom got her.  She LOVES it.  She calls it her "ba-ba".  Tonight I had to run to my school to get my textbooks, I asked her to leave it in the car so we could just run it...she wasn't happy.  And then we got home and it was time to eat dinner.  I sat it on the couch so she could eat...she threw a fit!
The little stuffed Horse from my mom and dad.  She loves it too.  She's starting to really love stuffed animals.  She hasn't been real excited about the cake.  Friday (on her actual birthday)  we had dinner, and cake...she was crying and didn't want anything to do with it.  I wiped some on her lips when she was crying, then she got a taste of it...and liked it :)
Thank you to everyone who made Zoe's First birthday WONDERFUL.  :)
And also thanks to Sarah from S & S photograhics for coming and taking photos all afternoon so I could enjoy the day and not have to worry about it!!

Happy FIRST birthday Zoe!

She's ONE!!
One year ago right this very minute (10:25am) I had met my sweet baby girl...and held her in my arms :)

It's crazy to think that one year has flown by.  It has been an awesome year.  I can't say "I can't believe she's one already" because I can believe it.  I've been blessed enough to be here everyday with her...so it does seem like it's been a year.  I've watched her learn, and grow and develop.  I'm SO happy I've been able to do that.

We have sung happy birthday to her like 3 times already today :) And I'm sure we'll do it several more times today.

Tonight; mom & dad, Dev & Meg (and Lyvi), are coming over, and Seth is here too.  We're gonna have dinner and cake to celebrate her big day.  Tomorrow is the BIG party.  I was up until 1:00am last night.  I didn't get to start baking the cupcakes until about 9:00pm because Josh had a work dinner and didn't get home until then.  When I finally did start...I realized I needed MORE red food coloring.  {Who knew red velvet cupcakes took TWO TABLESPOONS of food coloring haha} So I had to run out to the store to grab some more.  I finished about 12:30am, cleaned up the kitchen, took a shower and headed to bed!

Tonight I have to make the icing and ice them.  I can't wait to see how beautiful they turn out :)

We went shopping Wednesday night to get her birthday present.  We bought her a baby....She's been really into babies latley.  Logann and Abbie have American Girl dolls and they have hair...she loves to play with the hair, and pull it.  We wanted to get her one with hair....the selection was slim at the store.  Why are all the babies bald?  When we finally did pick one, we put it in the cart and she was SOOO EXCITED.  She kept saying "Bay-Bay" in this real high pitched voice.  It was quite cute.  We had to hide it wen we got home!

I'm so excited for tomorrow.  I can't wait to see how everything comes together.  I'm excited that I don't have to worry about taking photos either.  I am having Sarah from S&S photographics come and shoot her party.  I am sure I'll still take a few photos, but I wanted to be able to focus on Zoe and her big day!

Zoe's latest thing....She stands up without standing up.  She'll be sitting playing, and she gets on both feet, straightens her legs (like she's going to stand up) but then doesn't push her upper body up!  Does that make sense?  Like a "bear walk".  She's done it like 3 times this morning.  SOON, she'll be OUTTA HERE! Running around like crazy :)

My mind has about 1,000,000 things running through it.  And I have about that many things on my to do list.

These are the random thoughts going through my mind.

Miss Z Weezy!

She will be ONE in ONE WEEK! EEEK!

I was thinking today about how much "big girl" stuff she's doing latley.
She's little miss go go now.  She gets from point A to point B and back again before I know it!

She's become obsessed with monkeys, specifically her 'George'.  {Which she can say, and it's adorable}  She always wants to take him 'buhb bye' with us.  The other day I was running in and out of like 4 stores...and he had to go in every one of them.  I'd go to get her out of the carseat, and I'd try to leave it at her feet...she'd grab it as I was pulling her out of her seat! ha!  She held on to him in the cart of every store!

When she's done eating, she chucks her food (with her left hand) to the side.  And she gets in trouble, every single time.

She can say just about anything that starts with a 'd' or 'b'.
bath
done
'ba' {bottle}
ball
(There's more but I can't think of them right now)

She know knows and remembers where the swing is...out our back door.  Today she went to the door and asked to swing.

She LOVES mac 'n cheese & pizza.
Last night we were at a pizza place...and she was eating it soooo fast!  I had to give her one at a time because she wouldn't slow down.

That's all for now :) I'll save the rest for a more formal post on her birthday!

MaryEllen

Do you watch Americas Got Talent?

We're sitting here watching it....have you seen this Mary Ellen lady?!
Are you kidding me?

I'm all for going after what you love....but WHY is she still on this show?

It's sad because there are people with talent that have gone home :(
