Zoe at 9 Months

I realized I never posted a  post about "Zoe at 9 months"
Bad mommy.

ETA:
-She waives and says "bub-bye" when someone leaves, and closes the door.
-Everytime I get off the phone she "gives kisses" (Smacking her lips together) and says bub-bye!
-She is little miss attitude more and more every day.
-She now makes this "eh" grunting sound at you when she doesn't like what you're telling her.
-She's figuring out how to smack.  I tell her "Zoe No!" and she'll ususally stop.   I've only had to smack her hand once...but I have a feeling there will be more of that.
-Still won't crawl, but I'm really working on her upper body musles and I can tell it's working already.
-Weights 15lbs 2 oz and is 27 1/4" long.
-Says mama, dada, "eh", and she picked up from her cousin "wassat"  It sounds more like "sst"She doesn't say it very often, but she says it!
-If you tell her, "It's hot Zoe, blow it"  when feeding her she'll blow it.
-She is SO nosey.  If we go out to dinner...I try to feed her before we go or else we'll sit there all night because she has to look around instead of eating her food. 
-She has several of the same toys that she loves, but I can tell she's getting bored with what we have.  I'm hoping within the next week or two to take some away and get/replace with some "new ones".  Some that I have, and some that I need to buy.
-Still fits in 6-9 month closes because she's so tiny.  But we're going shopping for 12 months soon!!
-She still only has the two front bottom teeth...but she's cutting a molar on the bottom left.  It's white, and it's cutting through.  Crazy. 
-She's pretty much always awake by 7:00am when Devon arrives with Lyvi and she gets SO excited when she hears the front door open!  And again when Heather gets here with Aubree about 7:45 and again when Jackson gets here at 8:30. 
-She says "yaaaaa" when she clamps.  And she loves music. 
-I still maintain that she's going to be a swimmer...that girl can KICK.  You lay her down in front of you to change her diaper, you better watch out. 
-She always always sleeps through church service.  She stays awake for the music, and then is out by the time Pastor is up there.  (Yes, we keep her with us...I'm not ready to send her off with people that we do not know yet)

I think that's about it, I'll update if I think of anything else :)

Our little Irish Dancer

This past weekend we {Zoe and I} went to watch Logann's dance recital.  She's been taking Irish dance class for awhile now and this was their first recital.  She did awesome!  It was so natural for her.

It's in Logann's blood to worry about what everyone else was doing...so the whole time she was looking to her left or right to see if everyone was on time and in the right spot.  She'll make a good little dance teacher hehe.

We stopped and got her some flowers.  They were beautiful, I might add.

Zoe did a good job of sitting through the (almost) whole thing, even though she had a fever and was sooo tired.  It was SO hot in the auditorium...so when it was almost over I took her and stood in the entry way, so we could breathe and still see.

The Oil Leak

Wedding

There's less than 5 weeks until Devon (my brother) and Megan's wedding!  Eek!  Time has flown by.  We've been busy little wedding planning bees the last few weeks.
Megan decided she wanted to do silk flowers so today we went to flower factory and bought all of them!  Mamaw is going to put them all together for her.

I made their save the dates, and their invitations and those went in the mail (invites) several weeks ago.  They've recieved 40 responses so far!  Which is pretty good...considering people always wait 'til the last minute. 

One of Devon's friends isn't able to get off work, due to a new job so Dev asked Josh to step in and be a groomsmen.  Josh has to go get fitted for his tux this week! 

I'm ordering Zoe's dress tonight. Custom made.  Cute cute.  Can't wait.

I still need to find an outfit.  I'm getting a spray tan tomorrow for a trial run.  Then, if I could just shed some pounds before the big day..I'd be real happy.  But that's a whole other topic.

Mom had a dress that she bought for her own 25th wedding Anniversary, in hopes of renewing their vowels.  (Which didn't work out)  so she dyed it pink and it turned out awesome.  She shortened it...very stylish.  And she got some CUTE shoes to go with.  It's a shame we don't wear the same size shoe.

Mom gave Megan money for mother's day for her hair and shoes.  Megan did you order shoes yet?:)

I can't wait for the big day.  I'm the "official" photographer for the wedding.  That was a big conversation we had when they first started wedding planning....They wanted me to be able to enjoy the day and event.  I told them that I'd take the same photos if I was the photographer or not.  They finally gave in and decided to let me do it.  I'm glad I could also save them the added expense. 

I need a push

I'm so close to being done with school that it's caused me to not want to finish.  It's horribile I know.   
This Trimester I have Managerial accounting and Marketing Research.  Sounds like a fun way to spend the summer right?

After that it's Finance and a public relations course.

And then my final trimester is my capstone course and one last public relations course.

AND THEN I'LL BE DONE.  Bachelors Degree in Marketing with a minor in Public Relations.

I just need the power to get through the next year. 

Mother's Day

As you all know...Mother's Day was last weekend.
But I'm way behind on my posts... so I as I sit here with Zoe {Who didn't sleep much last night, now has a low grade fever and thought it'd be cool to wake up for the day at 6:25} I thought I'd blog.

First, let me start by saying a word or two (or a paragraph) about my mama.  My dear friend Cindy lost her mom a few years ago...and has always inspired me to value my mom being here.  It makes you think of those little things that you may take for granted, those things that only moms care about.  The fact that, I text her yesterday to tell her I found my birth certificate...no one else would care or want a text that says that.  What's she say?  "Good!  Where?"  Like the fact that she's up for going or running anywhere with me...even if she doesn't have an interest in it...which usually turns into her having an interest in it :)

The fact that I do no have to leave my daughter with a teenage babysitter, because she's always up for babysitting...even if it's just babysitting the monitor. 

The fact that, she loves kids pretty much more than life itself and she would do anything to make sure that each and everyone had the best quality of life and exceled at each of their own strengths.  And that includes her own children (and inlaw children)

All of those facts {Plus about 1000 more} are reasons that I love my mom.  So, if you're moms still around...make sure y ou tell her how much you love an value her.  Because we all could do it more.

IKEA

If you've read my blog before you know that I love IKEA!
How someone doesn't, I'll never understand :)

Mom and I made a trip Saturday morning.  We can make our trip quicker now, but still allower ourselves a few hours so we can browse and dream. 

My goal was to go and get this for my scrapbook room.  Which was my Mother's Day gift from my mom and dad.  (They're the best!)

I just bought a few organization things for the shelf and a few other odds and ends.  

Now I need to organize!  My goal is to paint the room tonight.  Put the shelf together tomorrow and then Cindy is going to come help me organize Wednesday or Thursday! 

I'll post photos when it's done :)

Etsy

For those of you know know me well...you know I've been in love with Etsy for awhile.
I have purchased a bunch of things from there.  All kinds of different things.  I could sit and look through stuff for hours.

I have decided to open my own etsy shoppe!  I'm not going to tell you what I'll be selling yet.  Until I'm read to announce it.

Hint:  It's not photography or sewing related.
