Prayers and Thoughts

We got a little bit of good news and bad news on Thanksgiving.

My mom told me that my cousin Cole had just moved into a Group home down the street from us! He is a few years older than I am and has lived with my grandparents pretty much his entire life. He has been through a lot for his young age and the last few years have been very bumpy. He is diagnosed schizophrenic and struggles with medication. We are hoping and praying that this group home will be the stabilization that he needs to teach him independence from my grandma and with his medication.

Josh's parents also told us that Larry's dad was just diagnosed with Brain cancer. I do not know too much except that he woke up one morning and his entire left side was stiff. He has regained movement in it but is going to begin radiation hopefully this week.

Please keep these two family members in your thoughts and prayers.

Last day of November

Today is the last day of November, I can't even believe it.
This past year has flown by so quickly...and so did this weekend.

Devon & Meg ended up spending one more night at our house (Friday) after Megan go back from work we sat around and watched TV then headed to the Mall. They wanted to look for this coat they saw for the baby, so Josh and I went along. Plus we wanted to stop at Target to get a few games.

The mall was busy, but thanks to the "New and expectant mothers" parking spot we were parked two spots from the door! Josh was so nervous...he's like "Do I have to have a tag or something" No Honey, we have a pregnant person with us we're cool! haha

We then stopped at target to buy a few games and Thanks to that $50 gift card I won we walked out with, Catch Phrase, Cranium, Phase Ten, and the DVD Collection Old Christmas movies. (Frosty and all those old ones that I've been wanting to buy for years but never do!)

Then we headed home and Meagan made her cheese dip and we ate and watch the Santa Clause 2 (we had watched most of the first one on tv earlier in the day) I ended up falling asleep.
But it was a great relaxing day!

I'm such a sucker for christmas movies...Elf was on yesterday and I recorded it because Josh hasn't seen it! We'll be watching that tonight :)

Now on to Christmas

Thanksgiving is offically over... our bellys are full, as are our fridges with left overs.
(Megan is eating some of mine as we speak hehe)
Megan and Dev spent the night last night...we stayed up until like 11:00 talking, its always great to hear what they're planning for their future. It's also great to hear and see how much Dev has grown in the past 2 years. We never thought it would happen. (hehe j/k Dev.)

I had to work at 4:45 AM this morning at VS. It was quite busy.
The mall was very busy. I only had to work until 9:45 AM...so by 10:30 my head was back on my pillow and I was out like a light until like noon when the boys woke me up so we could go to Chipotle!

Then we came back and hung out until Meg got off work. Now that she's here I guess we're going to Target to buy Catch Phrase (See previous post about game night!) and just enjoying the rest of the day with no huge plans.

It's almost Turkey Day!

My Family and Josh's family are coming over to our house!
I have taken on the task of cooking dinner...this is the second year. I love it.

I have my menu all ready...and the food all purchased. (BTW groceries are way to expensive!)

Tonight I'm going to clean the house and then tomorrow it's up to start cooking.

Movie Night

Nataleigh and I have had a few movie nights latley. Last night we watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It was pretty good, gave us a few good laughs (and a few scenes we were not expecting) It's nice to hang out at her house, with the puppies and watch girlie movies.

It gets Josh of the hook from watching them :) And it gives us quality girl time.

Nataleigh got a new Puppy Sunday and Oh my is she cute!! (Go look at her blog)

Tonight I do not have to work at VS...so I'm pretty excited about that. I plan to make dinner with Josh and then continue to work on the christmas presents and baby presents I have started.

Oh and exciting news...I found a free downloadable software that you can use to turn your blog into a book. I'm going to download it....and in a year or so design my book and order it! I think it's awesome! It's more cost efficient to order a book with more pages, so I figured I'd wait awhile and then do it when I have a decent amount. So in a few years your comments could be in a book...so watch it :)
I think this is a great tool to keep memories...we all know I love to Scrapbook, but these are memories and things that don't always make it into the scrapbook. Now they'll be in a book for generations to look at in to future!

Weekend update!

It's Monday, that means it's time for my weekend update!
I think this weekend was one of my favorite that we've had in awhile. It was loaded full of relaxing goodness! We had a lot going on, but yet not a ton that it was stressful.

Friday I was off work so I hung out at the house and then went tanning, then headed over to Cord for a crop with Cindy. I got a few things done, not a lot though.

Saturday was game day! My mom heard about the OSU Skull Sessions...and asked us to take her. So my parents picked me up at 7:15 AM and we headed downtown. (After stopping for some breakfast and hot drinks!) We parked and walked to St. John's arena and found a seat. For those of you who don't know what a skull session is....it's like a pep rally/band performance that the OSU band performs before every home game. Pickerington's band entertained us until the TDBITL came in at 10:00 am. They played until about 11:30 and then they head over to the shoe. It was great! You can hear them WAY better than you can during the game! My mom loved it. And now she's probably going to have to go a few times next year :)

The rest of the day was spent watching the game and relaxing. I also started one of the projects I'm working on for the baby! Very excited about that...I wish I could tell you more...but Someone might see it! ;-)

Sunday we slept in...loved every minute of it! I then spent a few hours scrubbing my shower...yuck...cleaning the house and bathing the dog! Then Nataleigh came over and took a few photos of Josh and I for our Christmas Card. They turned out great....watch your mail box. (if you're so lucky! hehe)

We also had Game night with Nataleigh and Dave! Most of the night Nataleigh and I were on a team against Josh and Dave. We played; Catch phrase, Scene it, Battle of the sexes, and Cranium. We also baked some Beer bread, which we decided was bitter and we needed a sweeter beer to make it with! We had some pretty funny moments including the time Dave acted out Marilyn Monroe. Josh and I also decided that we need to buy some games! We only have Monopoly...and Guess who! haha

My Luck Continues...

Friday afternoon I was in the car...listening to WCOL like I usually do.

Joe Boxer said they were giving away tickets to CAPA's performance of The Christmas Carol and to the Christmas lights at Alum Creek Drive thru place.

I called. Busy. Redialed....and Joe Answered. I couldn't even believe it.

The girls at work said I should buy a lottery ticket ha. I don't want to push it. I like this little stuff.

I am letting Logann and Melissa go see the Christmas Carol and then we'll go see the Christmas Lights later...before christmas!

Be Thankful.

We should be Thankful not just on Thanksgiving, but everyday.
So today, one week before Thanksgiving I'm very Thankful for the awesome people and things in my life.

1. My Husband. He loves me even though I'm difficult. And he makes me laugh...all the time.
2. Our Home. We have a home. We own a home.
3. My Job. I have a job so that I can own that home.
4. My Family. I have a huge, awesome family. That continues to crack me up and grow!
5. My Friends. Old and New. They all also love me even though I'm difficult.

In other news....
I'm going to get my eye browns threaded today at lunch....I'll let you know how that goes!

6 More Weeks of Freedom

I registered for Winter Trimester classes today. They start the first week of January.
That was a little bit depressing.
I have like 4 classes that I need to take very soon, in order to take the final concentration stuff for my degree. I work full time, until 6pm every night...and the classes start at 6pm. See my problem.....

Luckily I am able to move my schedule around so that I can work a weekend day and have one day off during the week so that I can make it to class on time. Which is awesome that they allow me to do that...and I'm not complaining and I've been able to make it to work for a year...but now I'm having trouble.

The classes I have left are ones I've put off, because I need to take them in class, not online like I typically do.... and I can't take more than one class per week (one night).

So...for now I have 12 credit hours scheduled....(5 classes) Four online and one in class. And I put the other 3 off until next trimester again. And in March or April I'll be trying to figure it out again. But until then I'm trying not to worry about it because I'm sure it will work out the way that it's supposed to.

I just want to be done with school. I've been in college since my Senior year of High School. I've gone from OU-Chillicothe, to OU-Lancaster, to Columbus State (so I could then go to CCAD, which I never did) now to Franklin. I love Franklin. I just am done with school. I have SO many credit hours, ones that do not apply to my degree AT ALL. But at least Iv gone n learnt a ton.

WOW

Ok I NEVER win ANYTHING.

And in the past two weeks I've won two things. WOW.
We had a meeting at VS two weeks ago....at 8:00 in the morning...I'm not going to lie...I totally didn't want to go. But I drug my butt there, and we had a drawing for five $50 gift cards. And I WON! WOW.

I was sitting at work today...and got a voicemail from one of my managers at VS....

She said she had something exciting to tell me and that I should call her.

So I called back...... I WON AN iPOD. WOW.

Seriously.... it's great!

It's almost baby Time!

February is coming fast...
and Megan and Dev are getting excited!
(So are the rest of us hehe..)

I've been doing baby shopping... I have gifts for Christmas, Baby Shower, When baby arrives and just because.

Megan has a friend who gave her two boxes of clothes that her daughter wore and some that she never wore! The girl is spoiled already. They texted me a photo of all her clothes last night...it was pretty funny.

I have a few things up my sleeve that I'm working on getting and making...OMG they're going to be so cute...you just wait!

It's Sunday

It's Sunday and I'm at work.
It's very cold outside so I don't think many people will be out coming to see me here, but who knows I could be surprised.

It snowed this morning, and I think it's supposed to more!

Yesterday I had a great day off! I had a meeting at VS in the morning...we're getting ready for all the day after Thanksgiving stuff...very exciting. I gave in and signed up to work an early morning shift. Its only a 5 hour sift and I am sure it will go by very quickly since we will be so very busy. And I will still have time to go shop, if my bank account permits.

After the meeting Josh and I went to my Grandparents for lunch. Mamaw is having me help her with a Christmas present and Josh looked at their computer and then he and papaw watched the game. We planned to leave there and spend the rest of the day at home, but my mom said she was coming over so we decided to stay and visit with her and my dad too...well then one thing (and person) led to another and we ended up with a house full of people....14 (and 1/2 see megan & baby photo below) plus the dogs. (Manny got to come too) Mamaw and I ran to the store and got a few things to make Lasagana..yum!

It was great to visit with everyone...especially unplanned like that! It's hard to plan a dinner with all of our busy schedules

The R word...

If you live in Central Ohio...you've heard about the R man going around and destroying peoples lives.



He has Raped 7 women in the central Ohio area.

And has many, many more on edge and worried about living and sleeping in their own homes.



How is it right that one person can make you feel uncomfortable in your own home?



I have been reading as much as I can...I like to be knowledable about it rather than know nothing. I probably know too much...but like I said I'd rather know.
More on that later...it's time to leave work now!

Cowboys

Josh and I are sitting here.....watching the final little bits of the CMA's.
I made it home tonight at 7:57 PM just in time to change into my PJ's grab my laptop and get in my chair!

I love me a Cowboy in their tight Jeans.....Cowboy hats and Cowboy Boots! Yum.
(Yes I have a husband, and I'm not affraid to say those things to him...in fact everytime one of them came on stage I said something. He laughed. We have that kind of relationship...and it's amazing that he is totally opposit that "type")

It's amazing to have them all on one show...under one roof...singing all their great Songs.

I'm a fan of all things Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, AJ, Sugarland, Kelly Pickler...and there are lots more!

I will post my favorite dress Carrie wore tomorrow... because I can't even find a photo of it online yet, since the shows not over yet. But it was the short tanish/white one...real flowy...real cute!!

Nataleigh

I had a first impression of Nataleigh....
and I told her I was going to blog about it.

Because she has a blog, that is private. And we can't read it.

Actually I'll spare you the details and not blog about it hahaha :)

The Boy with Cowboy boots and Shorts!

This weekend my dad wanted to take a family photo. Have I ever told you how hard it is to take a photo with my brother. I've been Mooned, given funny faces, had closed eyes..you name it he does it during photos. You have to take at least 10 photos to get a good one.

Melissa was taking them for us, in the 45 degree weather and we were all cold and Devon of course had to make the faces and be goofy.

We did manage to get a half way decent one. I would have liked to taken a few more, but I had to remind myself it wasn't going to happen today. Maybe on Thanksgiving.

They need a little photoshop work...which I haven't got to do yet! (Especially the one of Josh and I...it's really red!) But they look pretty good :)

Later that day we saw a friend that we've known forever...she hasn't seen Devon since he was like 5. So she asked if he was still wearing Cowboy boots and Shorts! We showed her a photo of Him & Meg and she couldn't believe it.

We were in 4-H with her and when Devon was younger he always wore these Jean shorts...with his Cowboy boots! (I'll find a photo...)

It's Cold.

It's November 8th and it is 45 degrees outside!
Josh went to play Golf this morning with his dad, brother, and friend Seth. Golf, in 45 degree weather is not my idea of fun but I guess it is theirs.

Me on the other hand... I'm enjoying my Saturday morning at home. With Bailey on my lap and manny on his bed beside me...while I catch up on my shows for the week.

Maddy's 5th birthday is Monday so her Birthday party is today. Josh is meeting me there.
My dad wants to get some family photos today also, which I thought was a good idea, it's a little cold outside but hopefully we can get a few with the leaves still on the trees.

I asked Josh to wear something with Fall colors (I said browns, deep red, green etc) and him being is smart little self goes and picks out this shirt that has all of the above colors in it...and said he can't wait to "Dress like a tree" haha. He always has to make a joke about everything, it's a good thing I've learned to laugh at him.

After the Birthday party we're taking Logann to see Madagascar! We're very excited. When the first one came out, I was still sitting for Logann and we LOVED that movie. Watched it all the time. Josh too! So when we heard about the second one we (josh and i) were very excited. So I bought the tickets already... and we're going. We (josh and i) are probably more excited than Logann.

Oh and Josh just called and said his mom went to the hospital with some kind of side pains...please keep her in your thoughts and prayers! I'll keep you posted.

Pink, Blue & Red

RED & BLUE---We're Sitting here...Like a Nerds...(While Josh eats Nerds) with the TV on ABC News and Yahoo News...and my Laptop on The Map to watch it turn colors! Who would have thought we'd all be so infatuated with the two colors Red and Blue. I have never been much of a Politics person, but this year I've been more interested. I still don't know as much as I should, but I know enough to know that Obama Won Ohio!

PINK---I've been working on Meg's Baby Shower Invites.... here's a little preview of them. I can't show you too much because she'll look..and I want it to be somewhat of a suprise to her :)

They came out cute.........now I have to go make 60 more!

Tomorrow I need to try to find a few pieces and parts to finish them up!
